BUILD AN AIRY SETUP

Choose each part for a reason.

Orchid roots need air, moisture and a pot that lets you inspect what is happening. The right combination depends on orchid type, environment and how often the medium dries.

REPOT FROM THE EVIDENCE

Healthy roots decide the next step.

Before replacing the medium, inspect the roots, smell the old mix and note how long it stays wet. Firm green or silvery roots, soft dark roots and dried hollow roots call for different decisions.

Remove only dead or failing material with clean tools. Choose a pot and medium that support airflow while still fitting your watering habits and growing position.

After repotting, keep conditions reasonably stable and watch new root and leaf growth. Do not expect every existing damaged leaf to recover.

Three checks before ordering

01 · ORCHID TYPE

How does it grow naturally?

Many commonly grown orchids need excellent airflow, but moisture needs and preferred particle size still vary.

02 · DRYING SPEED

How quickly does your pot dry?

Ventilation, pot size, room conditions and watering all affect drying. Match the medium to the real setup.

03 · ROOT CONDITION

Are the roots healthy now?

If roots are soft, blackened or declining, correct the underlying conditions before expecting a fresh medium to solve everything.
